The Advantage of Peripherals: What’s New in Dosers, Crushers, Mold Temperature Controllers, Dryers and Loaders
4 Nov 2026
Peripheral equipment does not make the part itself, yet it decides how stable moulding and extrusion are, how much material is wasted and how long the line stands idle. We review five equipment groups and what changed in the new models: dosers, crushers, mold temperature controllers, dryers and loaders.
What peripherals are and why they are remembered too late
Peripherals are the auxiliary machines around an injection moulding machine or an extrusion line. Dryers and loaders deliver prepared material, dosers add colourants and additives, temperature controllers and chillers hold the temperature of the mould and process units, and crushers return sprues and rejects to production. Each machine solves one narrow task, but together they decide how evenly the process runs: if the material is damp, the additive ratio drifts and the mould heats unevenly, neither an expensive machine nor a good polymer will give a stable result.
Below is what changed in the new generation of peripherals. Specifications are based on the supplier’s technical information; prices are not shown — current terms are available on request.
Volumetric dosers: ±2% accuracy and a modular design

A volumetric doser feeds the additive with a screw and measures it by volume. The new model offers:
- Modular design. The two- and three-hopper versions share one design; the third hopper is optional.
- Servo motor on the screw. The screw is driven by its own servo motor: stable feed and high-precision dosing, with ±2% accuracy.
- PLC control. An individual PLC program keeps operation stable.
- Touch screen. Simple and clear operation, an alarm log and a recipe log.
The recipe log helps return to proven settings when the machine changes over to a different product.

Medium-speed crushers (granulators): clean loading and simple control

A crusher beside the press returns sprues and rejected parts to production. The new model has:
- A tall transparent hopper. Dust does not fly out during loading, the height of the machine is easy to adjust and hands are protected.
- A cutting chamber with claw knives. Suitable for soft compounds and viscous sprues (PC and similar materials).
- An LCD control display. The controller shows motor current and timer time in real time; faults are displayed clearly, so separate diagnostics are not needed.

Crusher specifications

Each size comes in two versions: with suction removal of the ground material and with discharge into a bin.
Economy-series mold temperature controllers

A temperature controller holds the set mould temperature, and surface quality and dimensional stability of the part depend on it. The economy series features:
- A cast heater with indirect heating. The heating element is isolated from the heat-transfer fluid; a ceramic sensor stops the heater from overheating if the controller fails.
- LCD screen and buttons. The same PID logic as in the standard model.
- A solid-state relay for the heaters. Response time 0.1 s; the pump is the same as in the standard model.
- An integrated design. Integrated cast modules reduce the risk of leaks and keep the unit compact.

The series comes in three versions — Standard, Economy A and Economy B — with two sizes in each. Please ask a manager how the equipment differs between versions.
Hopper dryers: one look for the whole range and more safety

A hopper dryer prepares hygroscopic material before processing. Two parts changed in the new model:
- Electrical cabinet. The new design matches the stainless-steel dryers, so the range has a uniform look.
- External breaker. An additional external circuit breaker with a release improves safety.
Direct-type loaders: filter cleaning and an in-house controller

A loader delivers pellets from the container to the machine hopper. What is new:
- One-piece top cover. Valves and wiring are tucked under the motor cover: the unit looks better and the external valves cannot be damaged.
- Pulse cleaning. The in-house controller lets you choose pulse or continuous blowing. A cross-shaped nozzle widens the blown area and improves cleaning, and a receiver stores compressed air for a higher instantaneous flow and steadier pulse cleaning.
- In-house controller. The program can be adapted to the customer’s conditions, for more stable performance.
- New filter. A one-piece conical filter with a larger air intake area; a frame mount makes blowing easier.
Two more updates: a slow-speed crusher and chillers
The range of slow-speed crushers (shredders) has been updated and now has a new in-house design.
Chillers are now built in-house. There are 22 sizes in series production in four versions, by cooling type (air or water) and evaporator type (coil or shell-and-tube). Coil chillers come in sizes 5, 10, 15 and 20, shell-and-tube chillers from 5 to 50.
How to match peripherals to your line
It helps to collect a few details before you send a request:
- which material you process, in what volume, and whether it needs drying;
- how many components must be dosed — two or three;
- for a crusher, the size and type of sprues or rejects to be ground;
- for a temperature controller or chiller, the heat load and the number of circuits on the line;
- the supply voltage and the installation space.
